13 Jul Student Spotlight: Mia Craig
Mia Craig is a senior Forestry major concentrating in Wildlife. She is a member of the Delta Delta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. During her tenure, she gained ample leadership skills. She served as Vice President of the University’s Honors Program and was President of the Forestry Club.
Mia is a Summa Cum Laude graduate, Presidential Silver Medallion recipient, consistent Honor Roll & Dean’s List scholar, and SAF Diversity Scholar 2019-2020. This fall, she will attend Mississippi State University’s Sustainable Bioproducts graduate program. Additionally, she’s received an offer to work a year-long internship for the US Forest Service in Mississippi.
Service: Mia is a staunch advocate for service and has volunteered with Huntsville’s Downtown Rescue Mission for several years. She’s helped coordinate several food drives through the Honors Program to benefit the agency. Mia has also served numerous hours at Huntsville’s Ark Animal Shelter.
